About MBRF and the Role

MBRF, one of the world's largest food companies, is seeking a Utilities Technician (Refrigeration) to join its team in Makkah, with primary operations in Jeddah. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial utility systems within a global food production environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial refrigeration, HVAC, and utility systems.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including ammonia compressors, evaporative condensers, glycol systems, chilled water systems, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, and AC units.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and enhance equipment performance.
  • Monitor operating parameters, conduct routine inspections, and support equipment overhaul, preventive maintenance, and spare-part planning.
  • Accurately record equipment issues, maintenance activities, and work orders in SAP.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, suppliers, and OEMs on technical issues, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support improvement projects using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and contribute to solutions for recurring technical issues, aiming to reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Preferably 2-3 years of hands-on experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or utilities operation and maintenance, specifically within the Food or FMCG industry.
  • Candidates must be based in Jeddah or willing to relocate to Jeddah, with the flexibility to commute to the factory location.

Workplace Standards and Compliance

The Utilities Technician is responsible for ensuring all activities adhere to stringent company safety standards and regulatory requirements. This includes compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines, food safety protocols, HACCP, GMP, 5S principles, and Food Defense standards, alongside the proper handling of chemicals, tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
