Assistant Oriental Chef

About the Role

Dallah Albaraka is seeking an Assistant Oriental Chef to join our team in Medina. This full-time role involves overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food production, and maintaining quality service. The Assistant Oriental Chef will be responsible for allocating tasks to subordinates and ensuring adherence to established culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement approved departmental policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to processes for controlled operations.
• Execute daily operations within the assigned work area, ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures.
• Produce consistent, high-quality food products and provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service.
• Assist the supervisor in menu planning and designing standard recipes to ensure consistent food quality and client satisfaction.
• Monitor food products for proper preparation, cooking processes, presentation, adherence to recipes, timing, and storage.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area and surrounding environment, adhering to all hygiene standards and procedures in food production.
• Liaise with the supervisor to ensure efficient purchasing, issuing of supplies, stock control, and inventory management for timely material and equipment availability.
• Contribute to the formulation and continuous upgrade of catering services manuals and standard operational procedures for efficient food production.
• Supervise the activities of subordinates to ensure efficient execution of tasks within the catering operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant hygiene, safety, and quality policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a healthy and safe work environment and deliver quality products and services.

Qualifications and Experience

• A professional degree in Culinary Arts is required.
• Candidates should possess 3-6 years of experience in culinary arts, cookery, or food preparation.
• The role requires 2-5 years of overall experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, where the Assistant Oriental Chef will work within a kitchen team, reporting to a supervisor and overseeing junior staff.
