Job Summary:The Medication Care Assistant ensures efficient medication delivery and correct placement of medications on shelving units while coordinating within the healthcare team.
Essential Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacy staff to optimize medication delivery turnaround times by picking up and delivering medications to nursing units per established schedules.
- Help pharmacy and nursing staff locate delivered medications by scanning and documenting all deliveries according to pharmacy protocols.
- Assist pharmacists in replenishing pharmacy shelves to maintain an organized and accessible pharmacy for patient care.
- Handle return medications for disposal.
- Support narcotic staff with medication placement in the narcotic vault as needed.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace within the pharmacy.
- Adhere to the Employee Code of Conduct and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Organize and archive documents periodically as required.
- Follow the chain of command to report incidents or concerns.
Requirements:- High School Education is required.
- Experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for recent graduates.
