The Role of Marketing Manager

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Marketing Manager for the Crowne Plaza brand in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and is open to Saudi nationals only. The Marketing Manager will support the Director of Sales & Marketing in guiding the hotel sales and marketing team within the assigned area. The primary objective is to drive hotel performance by leveraging corporate resources, strategic business planning, and the execution of marketing and sales plans to stimulate business demand and enhance revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Regional Managers, EAM, General Managers, and hotel Directors of Sales & Marketing to conduct business reviews and develop strategies that support revenue maximization and brand enhancement.
• Review marketing and sales budgets to ensure effective use of funds for business objectives.
• Assist hotels in utilizing market intelligence for strategic planning and understanding competition and business trends.
• Conduct periodical reviews of hotels, identify revenue shortfalls, and develop corrective strategies.
• Work with the Head of Sales & Marketing Operations and Revenue Management team to drive hotel performance, particularly in high CTP hotels and key cities.
• Drive Cluster Initiatives in key cities to leverage scale and resources, including sales, revenue management, and cluster promotions.
• Ensure hotels utilize support from the Regional Sales Team for key target segments and accounts.
• Support hotels in growing PCR contribution and utilizing the PCR database for promotions.
• Assist hotels in maximizing system contribution through all booking channels.
• Collaborate with the New Hotels Opening Performance team on pre-opening sales and revenue planning.
• Stay informed of Sales & Marketing best practices and share insights with other Area DOSMs and DOSMs.
• Ensure synergy in the use of hotel operating systems, technology, and sales practices.

Brand Marketing and Talent Development

• Assist Directors with special projects and new brand initiatives, including promotional campaigns and customer events.
• Support hotels in developing advertising and sales promotions aligned with brand values and profitability objectives.
• Work with the brand team to ensure consistent brand experience in the marketplace.
• Identify training needs for hotel sales & marketing teams and coordinate training programs.
• Identify high-potential talents, ensure Personal Development Plans are in place, and support their execution.
• Collaborate with other Area Directors of Sales & Marketing and Human Resources to identify external candidates for regional development.

Accountability and Relationships

Key metrics for this role include hotel performance, system contribution, PCR contribution, and competency and talent development. The Marketing Manager will maintain key internal relationships with Brand Directors, Regional Revenue Managers, Director of Regional Sales, Regional General Managers, and VP Operations. External relationships include Global Accounts, Travel Trade, Associations, TPIs, and Competitors.
