Officer Loss Prevention

About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Officer Loss Prevention to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and property assets. The role involves patrolling all areas, monitoring security systems, and responding to various incidents to maintain an orderly and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV), perimeter alarm systems, duress alarms, and fire life safety systems.
• Lock property entrances as required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, administer first aid/CPR if necessary, and contact emergency medical services (EMS).
• Assist guests and employees during emergency situations and notify appropriate individuals of incidents.
• Defuse guest/employee disturbances, calling for outside assistance when necessary.
• Complete incident reports for all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents and handle interruptions and complaints.
• Resolve safety hazard situations and escort unwelcome persons from the property without disrupting operations.
• Respond to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts, using proper code responses for assistance.
• Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents, releasing information only to authorized individuals.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview relevant parties.

Operational Compliance and Guest Service

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting team goals, and complying with quality assurance standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Capability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats (*, small print) and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Al Madinah, within the hospitality sector. The role requires physical presence and active engagement across the property to ensure security and guest satisfaction.
