About the Role

Edition is seeking a Cook I to join their team in Neom, Red Sea. This full-time role involves preparing special meals, managing food products, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklists.
• Prepare cold dishes as required.
• Communicate any necessary assistance during peak periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Inform the head chef about excess food products that can be utilized for daily specials.
• Notify Food and Beverage service staff regarding rejected products and available special menu items.
• Ensure the consistent quality of all food products.
• Regulate oven, grill, and broiler temperatures, and thaw frozen foods appropriately in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper food portions, distribution, and dressing.
• Maintain accurate food records and monitor food quality and quantity.

Operational Duties

• Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching, serving as a role model.
• Comply with all company and safety policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to concerns of other employees.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is desirable.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience is required.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance.
