KBR is seeking a Safety Officer to join their team in Makkah or Rabigh. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring worker safety within Oil & Gas Facilities.

Role Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for conducting safety inspections of equipment, tools, and working conditions to uphold the safety standards for personnel engaged in Oil & Gas Facilities. This role involves proactive inspection, observation of work practices, accident investigation, and ensuring compliance with established safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure worker safety in Oil & Gas Facilities, including safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and other tools. Replace items that do not meet safety requirements.
• Observe work crews to identify and report any non-compliance with safety precautions, such as the failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, or other safety devices.
• Examine the condition of ditches and tunnels, recommending the use of braces to prevent cave-ins that could endanger workers.
• Investigate accidents to determine their causes and develop preventive measures.
• Instruct workers on the proper use of safety equipment and safe work methods, as needed.
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety procedures.
• Encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions among personnel.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) procedures before and during work activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within Oil & Gas Facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Experience in accident investigation and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of safety equipment and safe work methodologies.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in the Makkah Region, with work locations in either Makkah or Rabigh.
