Job Description

About Namaa Partners

Namaa Partners is a strategic advisory firm primarily working with institutions in Saudi Arabia and companies with significant interests there. The firm addresses issues that do not fit the large firm model, such as a board reviewing succession, a family group considering an external investor, or a holding company needing to rethink its portfolio economics. Our work covers corporate strategy, growth, market entry, operating models, efficiency, organization, talent, digital strategy, performance improvement, governance, and risk. We undertake a limited number of engagements at a time, with the partners who scope the work also overseeing its execution. We form an opinion and defend it to the client. Engagements often extend beyond the recommendation phase, with partners attending board meetings and testing management plans during implementation. Our clients include a range of established institutions in the Kingdom.

The Role of HR Specialist

This full-time HR Specialist position is based in Riyadh and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role exists to systematically manage the administrative aspects of talent within the company, including recruitment, contracts, insurance, team files, and following up on organizational and talent issues related to engagements. From day one, you will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of these files and will be the first to review team data before it reaches the responsible partner. You will work closely with partners, understanding how engagement scopes are built and work is allocated, then translating this into clear procedures for recruitment, evaluation, and leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process from job posting to initial interviews and scheduling appointments with candidates, keeping each candidate informed of their status.
  • Prepare, maintain, and archive employee files, contracts, and official documents, ensuring each file is complete and accessible when needed.
  • Follow up on social insurance procedures, medical insurance, and regulatory updates within specified deadlines.
  • Record attendance, leave, and assignments in a clear register, and submit a monthly summary to the financial officer.
  • Coordinate interviews, performance evaluation sessions, and onboarding sessions for new employees, preparing all necessary documents and information for each session.
  • Prepare candidate lists and talent reports requested by engagement teams when studying client organization and talent.
  • Answer team questions regarding policies and procedures, and escalate issues requiring a decision to the relevant partner.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of HR operations, gained from study, training, or previous work experience in any organization, including the recruitment cycle, employee files, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in office tools, especially Excel, for building tables, organizing data, and tracking deadlines.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic, with the ability to draft clear internal communications.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to regulatory deadlines, as delays in one procedure can incur liability for the company.
  • Clear communication with candidates, employees, and partners, and maintaining confidentiality regarding team data.
  • Organized work approach, with readiness to prioritize tasks when multiple tasks coincide on the same day.
  • Eagerness to learn: We do not expect you to know everything about systems in the first month, but we expect you to ask questions and document what you learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or course in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and social insurance systems in the Kingdom.
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) or any employee file management software.
  • Ability to work in English for reading and writing.

Work Environment and Growth

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Riyadh, with a hybrid work model (office and remote) as agreed upon with the team. You will have the opportunity to work directly with partners and understand how engagements are built and client commitments are managed. You will work on complete team files, not just a segment, and see the impact of your work in respected deadlines and reliable data. We review your work with you in your first few weeks, not just once a year, and expect your responsibilities to expand as you learn. Partners scope and oversee engagement execution, and team issues are escalated directly to them. In HR, you will own the file, know its status, and escalate issues requiring a decision to the responsible partner before any step is delayed due to an unresolved question. We document everything: hiring decisions, file changes, and regulatory deadlines, as relying on memory for these matters is not effective. We clarify what we know and what we don't when asked for an opinion on an organizational matter.

Who Succeeds in This Role

Success in this role comes to someone who enjoys organized paperwork and knows the status of each file without needing to open a device. This individual writes short, clear messages, follows up with candidates and employees until an issue is resolved, and never misses a regulatory deadline. They take responsibility for their mistakes and correct them, and maintain the confidentiality of what they read in team files. Most importantly, they have a genuine readiness to understand how the company operates, because the foundation of HR here is understanding the nature of the work we sell, not just memorizing procedures.
