About the Role

SRG Mining is seeking a GIS Geologist to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves building and managing the spatial database for gold exploration projects across Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will serve as the primary GIS owner within the exploration team, translating various data types into actionable maps and models to support exploration decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the company’s GIS database from inception, including defining its structure, standards, and data validation protocols.
• Integrate and manage geological, geochemical, geophysical, drilling, and survey data.
• Produce geological maps, sampling plans, drill-hole location maps, and technical layouts.
• Utilize Micromine and Leapfrog for 3D modelling and data visualization.
• Process satellite imagery and remote sensing data to support target generation.
• Provide support to field teams for GPS data collection and ensure quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of spatial data.
• Prepare maps and spatial outputs for management presentations and regulatory reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geomatics, GIS, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of GIS experience, with at least 3 years specifically in mining or mineral exploration.
• Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro / ArcMap); familiarity with QGIS is an advantage.
• Practical experience with Micromine and/or Leapfrog.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and building a GIS database.
• Strong understanding of geological data, including drilling, assays, and structural data.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role may require travel to various project sites.
