About the Role

Grivot, a company specializing in human resources services and consulting, is seeking a Head of Assets Department for one of its leading clients in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a dedicated professional to lead fixed asset accounting operations, manage records and depreciations, and oversee inventory and asset control across various branches and locations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fixed asset register and update data for additions, transfers, and disposals.
• Calculate depreciations and review the useful lives and residual values of assets.
• Prepare periodic inventory plans and supervise asset tagging, verifying their locations and custodianship.
• Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies, and reconcile the asset register with the general ledger.
• Monitor projects under construction and capitalize costs when assets are ready for use.
• Prepare asset reports, depreciation reports, and idle asset reports, and support audit activities.
• Develop asset control procedures and lead the department team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of practical experience in fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory management.
• Experience in supervising a team and coordinating inventory activities across multiple locations.
• Knowledge of accounting standards related to fixed assets, capitalization, and depreciation.
• Proficiency in using ERP financial systems and Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, with attention to detail in discrepancy resolution.
• Experience in the food, retail, manufacturing, or multi-branch sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is preferred.

Experience and Work Type

This role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and is offered on a full-time basis. The salary for this position will be discussed during the interview process.
