About the Role

SRG Mining is seeking a Laboratory Chemist for gold exploration operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The role involves comprehensive laboratory work, focusing on sample analysis and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples within the laboratory, including dilution and solution preparation.
• Operate laboratory instruments and strictly follow established analytical methods and procedures.
• Implement quality control practices, including the use of standard and reference samples to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and investigate any unexpected or inconsistent analytical results to determine root causes.
• Maintain accurate records and comprehensive laboratory documentation for all procedures and results.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant laboratory setting.
• Good knowledge of chemistry principles, sample preparation techniques, dilution, and solution preparation.
• Demonstrated good laboratory discipline and strong awareness of HSE protocols.
• Strong learning ability and a willingness to receive technical training on new instruments and methods.
• Experience with AAS, ICP-OES, or ICP-MS is not mandatory, as full training on these instruments and analytical methods will be provided by the laboratory team.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated laboratory team focused on supporting gold exploration activities.
