About Aon and the Account Handler Role
Aon is seeking an experienced Account Handler to join its Health & Benefits team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to clients, protecting and enriching lives globally. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.
The Health & Benefits Team at Aon
The Health & Benefits team at Aon focuses on helping clients manage their employee health, risk, and wellbeing programs. This involves shaping decisions for the better and ensuring clients receive comprehensive support and solutions tailored to their needs. The Account Handler plays a critical role in maintaining these client relationships and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service an assigned portfolio of Health & Benefits clients, ensuring high standards in all aspects of client servicing.
- Supervise and monitor junior Account Handlers to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
- Review and verify all documentation, policies, and invoices before client submission, confirming agreed sums insured, terms, and conditions.
- Approve "Know Your Client" documentation, basic policy review checklists, and new business acquisition forms, ensuring compliance with Aon’s underwriting and compliance policies.
- Conduct regular client visits to support client retention and foster strong relationships.
- Issue debit/credit notes and invoices to clients promptly and accurately.
- Monitor claims activity and proactively support the Claims Supervisor for timely resolution and settlement.
- Participate in negotiations and assist the Claims Supervisor on large and complex claims to achieve favorable client outcomes.
- Clearly explain policy exclusions, warranties, and special conditions to clients, providing written documentation for thorough understanding.
- Ensure Account Handlers establish all renewal, marketing, and new business files in accordance with Aon policy and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of filing systems, ensuring all files are managed according to Aon’s standards.
- Collaborate with the Account Manager and Claims Supervisor to deliver seamless client service and promote operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar account handling or client service role within the insurance industry, preferably with a focus on Health & Benefits.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client portfolios and supervising team members.
- Proven ability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Strong client relationship management and service delivery skills.
- Excellent attention to detail for documentation review and compliance.
- Effective communication and negotiation support abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Account Managers and Claims Supervisors.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Benefits insurance products, regulatory requirements, and market developments in Saudi Arabia.
