About the Role

The Helicopter Company is seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join its finance team in Riyadh. This full-time role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the company's financial operations, with a primary focus on accounts payable processes and comprehensive financial reporting. The specialist will play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions and documentation.

Core Accounts Payable Functions

This position involves managing critical accounts payable activities, ensuring all financial obligations are processed accurately and efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Gathering and verifying invoices, ensuring all appropriate documentation is present prior to payment.
  • Preparing individual or groups of invoices for payment and securing the necessary approvals to initiate the payment process.
  • Tracking and accurately recording all payments remitted and services rendered.
  • Applying prepayments to their related invoices when applicable.
  • Collaborating effectively with the accounts payable team and other accounting staff to ensure overall financial accuracy.
  • Addressing and resolving any accounting-related problems or discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

Financial Reporting and Reconciliation

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and generating essential reports for internal stakeholders. This includes:

  • Reconciling the accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are fully accounted for and correctly posted.
  • Generating and delivering various financial reports to different departments as required.
  • Preparing daily financial reports for executive leadership and other key stakeholders.

Compliance and Documentation Management

A critical aspect of this role involves ensuring meticulous record-keeping and adherence to confidentiality standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out proper archiving of all documents and statements pertaining to Accounts Payable.
  • Auditing all receipts on a determined schedule to ensure accuracy in accounting records.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality in all matters related to work and sensitive financial information.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a professional with a solid background in accounting. Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting role, ideally with a focus on accounts payable or general ledger functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a finance team.
