Accounts Payable Accountant

About the Role

Brkz is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations. The position requires strong attention to detail and adherence to financial policies, contributing to smooth financial operations within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accurate coding and posting.
• Ensure invoices comply with purchase orders, contracts, and company policies.
• Manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire payments, adhering to agreed terms.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts to ensure proper allocation of payments.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly AP aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Support month-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.
• Ensure AP activities comply with internal policies, IFRS standards, and audit requirements.
• Maintain and enforce internal controls to minimize errors and prevent fraud.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and other teams to resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve queries and maintain positive business relationships.
• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance AP efficiency.
• Support the automation of AP workflows and integration with financial systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of two to five years of experience as an Accounts Payable professional.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail and adherence to financial policies.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions accurately.
• Experience with invoice processing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards and audit requirements.
