AFCAP V : PSAB Vector/Pest Controller

About the Role

KBR is seeking a Vector/Pest Controller for the AFCAP V Saudi Arabia program, based in Al Kharj, Riyadh. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves performing integrated pest management functions to control and prevent infestations of plant and animal pests. The role is integral to supporting the comprehensive Base Operating Support-Installation (BOS-I) services at Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Program Context

The KBR PSAB Program delivers essential BOS-I services to support the 378 Air Expeditionary Wing (AEW), mission partners, and tenant units. These services cater to a diverse range of personnel, including transient, temporary duty (TDY), permanent party, and rotational personnel, and extend to five remote Army sites within PSAB. The program ensures seamless operations, maintenance, and support activities crucial for sustained mission readiness and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Function as an integral team member, cooperating with and supporting * deployed forces and KSA personnel, sharing information as required.
• Inspect buildings, land, and surroundings for pest infestations.
• Apply chemicals, lay poisonous bait, set mechanical traps, or implement other necessary treatments to resolve pest problems.
• Clean areas that harbor pests in preparation for fumigation, as needed.
• Implement and develop Pest Management Plans in accordance with USAF approved AFIs.
• Provide operational control to OCN personnel escorting during work hours, including to and from visitor-controlled areas.
• Ensure all work locations have an effective Integrated Pest Management plan and adequate inventories, submitting requests to USAF for low inventories.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with services provided.
• Perform routine assigned tasks under direct supervision, following established guidelines and procedures.
• Utilize various equipment to eliminate pests, adhering to QHSE guidelines.
• Perform light to heavy duties related to the treatment, casing, and removal of harmful pests.
• Coordinate with medical activities to control health hazards.
• Complete required reports and tasks in accordance with company policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
• Ensure the successful delivery of services to approximately 4,000 personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in pest management or a related field.
• Knowledge and skills to use a multitude of different equipment for pest elimination.
• Ability to interact and coordinate with medical activities.
• Proficiency in completing required reports and tasks according to established policies.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and chemicals. Overtime and shift work may be required based on contractual needs, along with occasional to frequent travel. Employees must comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, company work rules, and written instructions. Task-specific work environment training may be provided. The role requires readiness to function in a wartime or contingency environment to support * interests.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs individually, team lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending. The role may require the use and wear of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, gloves, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) may also be required, including Level III plus/IV Individual Body Armor with ballistic plates, ACH helmet, and other protective clothing.
