About SiFi and the AI Engineer Role

SiFi is developing a next-generation corporate expense management platform that provides accounting teams with control over company spending. This platform enables companies to issue cards with precise spending restrictions, automate expense workflows, and streamline financial closing processes. As SiFi scales, Artificial Intelligence is becoming central to delivering financial intelligence, automation, and trust to its customers. We are seeking a Full-time AI Engineer to join our Data & AI team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview and Impact

This role focuses on integrating AI-powered automation into corporate finance operations. The AI Engineer will work across the full stack, from developing LLM pipelines and agent workflows to managing the backend infrastructure and internal tooling required for production readiness. This is a hands-on, end-to-end position where the successful candidate will own problems from prototype to production within a domain characterized by structured, high-stakes financial data. The role requires close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to build AI features that directly impact how companies manage their finances.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-powered features from prompt engineering and model integration to backend APIs and frontend surfaces.
• Build and maintain AI infrastructure for LLM inference, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and structured data extraction from financial documents.
• Develop autonomous agent workflows to automate finance operations such as expense categorization, receipt reconciliation, and policy enforcement.
• Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure AI systems are grounded in clean, trusted, and well-modeled financial data.
• Develop internal tooling and evaluation frameworks to measure, monitor, and improve model performance in production.
• Monitor advancements in AI and integrate relevant techniques, including fine-tuning, tool use, and multi-agent orchestration, into SiFi's technology stack.

Required Qualifications

• 5-10 years of professional experience in a relevant field.
• Strong engineering fundamentals across backend systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, with the ability to own the full lifecycle of a production AI feature.
• Hands-on experience building with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production, including prompt design, RAG pipelines, structured extraction, or Agentic systems.
• Comfort working with financial or compliance-sensitive data, where correctness and auditability are critical.
• A demonstrated ability to ship quickly, make pragmatic trade-offs, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
• High ownership and adaptability, comfortable with both debugging edge cases and proposing new system architectures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with fin-tech or expense management domains.
• Prior experience working at an early-stage startup or within a small, high-velocity team.
