Role Purpose and Environment
The primary purpose of this role is to build and maintain advanced AI solutions across both public-cloud workloads on GCP and for classified data within the Humain sovereign cloud. The AI Engineer will navigate these distinct environments to deliver robust and compliant AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and fine-tune LLM/ML models for applications such as Arabic NLP, document classification, vision/OCR, and AIOps.
- Perform pre-deployment evaluations, including establishing accuracy baselines, conducting regression and safety testing, and justifying GPU resource allocation.
- Optimize model inference through techniques like quantization, batching, and context sizing based on performance metrics.
- Deploy AI models on Humain GPUaaS, managing Kubernetes, GPU partitioning on B300 nodes, quotas, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Implement equivalent AI workloads on GCP, utilizing Vertex AI and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) with classification-based routing.
- Oversee the serving stack (*, vLLM/TGI), model versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous monitoring for latency, token usage, GPU utilization, and model drift.
- Ensure all developed AI models comply with ZATCA data sovereignty and SDAIA requirements, including AI Ethics, Generative AI Guidelines, and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
Technical Expertise Focus
This role requires deep technical expertise in both public and sovereign cloud AI platforms. Candidates should be proficient in managing GPU-accelerated environments, orchestrating deployments with Kubernetes, and optimizing model performance for various AI/ML applications.
Regulatory Compliance
A key aspect of the position is ensuring that all AI model development and deployment activities strictly adhere to Saudi Arabian regulatory frameworks. This includes compliance with ZATCA data sovereignty and SDAIA requirements such as AI Ethics, Generative AI Guidelines, and the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
Required Experience
Applicants must have 5 to 10 years of professional experience in AI engineering, machine learning operations, or a directly related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex AI model lifecycles.
