About the Role

People Pro Consulting is seeking an Aquatic Animal Health professional to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading fish health and welfare programs across various operational stages, including hatchery, early-stage, and offshore/farm environments. The primary objective is to drive disease prevention, maintain optimal fish health and welfare, and ensure sustainable production practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor fish health programs across all production stages.
• Diagnose and manage diseases, mortality events, and various health challenges.
• Conduct surveillance activities, necropsies, sampling, and microscopy.
• Develop health monitoring systems, treatment protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and biosecurity practices.
• Train and mentor fish health and production teams.
• Ensure the responsible use of veterinary medicines and compliance with welfare standards.
• Support strategic initiatives aimed at improving survival rates, productivity, welfare, and overall sustainability.
• Liaise with veterinarians, laboratories, researchers, regulatory bodies, and other industry stakeholders.
• Manage fish health budgets, equipment, consumables, and veterinary inventory.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in aquatic animal health. A strong background in leading health and welfare programs within aquaculture operations is essential.
