About the Role

Apparel Group is seeking a dedicated Area Sales Manager for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to overseeing the operations and financial performance of multiple retail stores within an assigned area for one or more brands. The objective is to drive sales growth, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage and develop store teams while maintaining compliance with company standards. The position requires strategic market analysis, financial acumen, and effective communication with senior management and Brand teams to optimize store performance and achieve business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and financial performance of multiple retail stores.
  • Drive sales growth and ensure exceptional customer service across all assigned stores.
  • Manage, develop, and train store teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement and monitor marketing campaigns, inventory management, and promotional activities.
  • Conduct market analysis to inform strategies and adapt to consumer behavior and competitor activities.
  • Communicate performance updates and strategic insights to senior management and Brand teams.

Operational Excellence and Financial Performance

  • Ensure all stores operate efficiently and adhere to company SOPs, policies, procedures, and loss prevention guidelines.
  • Delegate tasks and assign responsibilities to store managers, monitoring their progress and compliance.
  • Act as the single point of contact with Brand Teams for uniform implementation of business and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and overall financial performance, including P&L and EBITDA.
  • Manage budgets, expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.
  • Prepare detailed reports on area performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and growth opportunities.

Customer Experience and Market Strategy

  • Set and enforce exceptional customer service standards, coaching store teams and conducting regular visits to assess quality.
  • Collaborate with store managers to implement customer feedback and continuously improve the shopping experience.
  • Stay informed about market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute area-specific marketing and sales strategies designed to drive footfall and revenue.
  • Communicate business drivers, merchandise, and quality issues to relevant internal teams.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Recruit and train staff on sales techniques, customer service, teamwork, and company/brand etiquette.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations, providing coaching and motivation to foster open communication.
  • Assess and address additional training needs to ensure optimal performance within each store.
  • Cultivate a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Develop succession plans to ensure a pipeline of qualified candidates for key positions within the area.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in retail management.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a multi-store management role, such as an Area or District Manager.
  • Proven track record of successfully overseeing multiple retail stores, particularly within the fashion or related industries.
