ASSOCIATE CONSULTANT ANESTHESIOLOGY GENERAL ANESTHESIA

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking an Associate Consultant, Anesthesiology General Anesthesia. This full-time position involves providing medical care in the field of Anesthesiology, adhering to current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Participate in duties necessary for efficient handling and reporting of all examinations.
• Establish and maintain diagnostic services in assigned Anesthesiology in coordination with the Section Head.
• Communicate with clinicians and participate in their rounds and conferences.
• Assist the patient’s primary physician regarding test utilization and interpretation.
• Ensure high levels of employee and patient safety.
• Verify all quality control and proficiency testing and prepare for laboratory inspection.
• Monitor performance standards including quality assurance, quality control, and troubleshooting.
• Provide optimal support of patient care.

Academic and Research Contributions

• Direct and advise junior physicians on patient management, particularly in Anesthesiology.
• Guide and actively assist in the training and teaching of Fellows and Residents in Anesthesiology.
• Stay abreast of the latest techniques and developments, especially in the area of specialization, implementing them selectively to improve technical standards.
• Actively participate in the educational activities and training programs of the department.
• Participate in national and international medical conferences.
• Contribute to clinical, basic, and educational research projects in the area of specialization to advance knowledge, improve postgraduate education, and enhance KFSH&RC's national and international recognition.

Administrative Duties

• Undertake administrative duties associated with the running of the department.
• Participate in departmental meetings and serve on hospital committees as required.
• Assist the department in developing and implementing techniques and practices that maximize resource utilization within the department and across the hospital.
• Abide by current hospital and medical staff bylaws, relevant rules, regulations, and policies, and stay updated on any changes.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in Anesthesiology.
• Demonstrated ability to provide medical care in accordance with established medical standards and hospital policies.
