About the Role

United Motors Company is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves diagnosing and repairing complex automotive electrical and electronic faults, ensuring vehicle safety and repair quality in accordance with manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation to identify faults and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Install, maintain, and repair wiring harnesses, control modules, alternators, starters, lighting systems, and sensors.
  • Diagnose, program, code, and calibrate Electronic Control Units (ECUs) in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair CAN bus networks, driver-assistance systems, and hybrid and electric vehicle electrical systems, where applicable.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior technicians.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing after repairs to verify system performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Maintain accurate diagnostic reports, service records, and repair documentation.
  • Coordinate with Service Advisors and Workshop Management regarding diagnostic findings, repair timelines, and parts requirements.
  • Ensure the proper use, handling, and maintenance of workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Comply with manufacturer standards, company policies, quality requirements, and health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Keep technical knowledge current through training and continuous professional development.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as an Auto Electrician.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive electrical and electronic faults.
  • Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturer standards for vehicle safety and repair quality.

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for automotive electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation including wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Knowledge of ECU diagnosis, programming, coding, and calibration.
  • Familiarity with CAN bus networks, driver-assistance systems, and hybrid/electric vehicle electrical systems.
  • Strong communication skills for technical guidance and coordination.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a workshop environment, providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians.
