Barista (Saudi Only)

About the Role

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Barista to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position, and candidates must be Saudi nationals. The role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drink orders for guests following specified recipes and using precise measuring systems.
• Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles as required.
• Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and all related tools.
• Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
• Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and transport supplies to the bar set-up area.
• Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables, placing them in designated areas.
• Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for supplies.
• Process all payment methods, count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
• Complete all closing duties as per operational procedures.

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or * equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
• License or Certification: None required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Compliance and Safety

The successful candidate will follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and complete all required safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also essential aspects of this role.
