BIM Coordinator MEP

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a BIM Coordinator – MEP to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and involves overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEP/FF) components within Building Information Models (BIM) delivered by external design consultants and contractors. The specialist will ensure compliance with client requirements and the PMC BIM Management Plan, facilitating cross-discipline collaboration across all asset packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit incoming MEP BIM models for compliance with client Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Validate MEP asset metadata, equipment parameter completeness, and Level of Information Need (LOIN) for Asset Management handovers (AIM).
• Track and document design/modeling progress of MEP supply chain parties, escalating non-compliance issues to the PMC BIM Manager.
• Ensure MEP models align with luxury design standards, integrating high-end materials and bespoke elements.
• Collaborate with architectural and structural/civil BIM specialists for coordinated building models that meet luxury project specifications.
• Facilitate coordination between architecture, structure, MEP, civil, and interior design teams.
• Lead multi-party BIM coordination workshops to resolve spatial and asset interfaces among MEP design consultants and contractors.
• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks or similar software, identifying and resolving conflicts between building systems.
• Implement BIM quality control procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of building models.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with BIM execution plans and industry standards (*, ISO 19650).
• Identify potential design risks or constructability issues early in the project lifecycle, particularly for luxury-specific design features.
• Provide training and technical support to project teams on BIM processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 12 years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency and direct experience reviewing, navigating, and auditing models within specified toolsets.

Technical Tool Ecosystem Proficiency

• MEP & Buildings Modeling and Coordination: Autodesk Revit (Advanced MEP modeling, systems allocation, lookup tables), Navisworks Manage.
• Infrastructure Utilities: Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory), Bentley OpenRoads (for reviewing wet/dry infrastructure interfaces).
• Review & Clash Detection: Autodesk Navisworks Manage (Advanced use of Clash Detective, Search Sets, Appearance Profiler) and/or Solibri Model Checker.
• Collaboration & Issue Tracking: ACC/Forma Model Coordination, Revizto, BIMtrack, or similar collaboration tools.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, focusing on ensuring high-quality technical standards and delivery timelines across masterplan projects.
