BIM COORDINATOR

About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking a BIM Coordinator to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities across all project disciplines, including Architecture, Structure, and MEP. The successful candidate will ensure model accuracy, facilitate clash-free coordination, and maintain compliance with project BIM standards.

Role Overview

The BIM Coordinator is responsible for the effective collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams through robust BIM processes. This involves overseeing the integrity and consistency of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design stages to as-built documentation. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of BIM methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary BIM models across architecture, structural, and MEP teams.
• Lead clash detection and resolution processes using Navisworks, including tracking issue closure.
• Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and applicable standards such as ISO 19650.
• Maintain and manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) for models, drawings, and documentation.
• Review and validate models for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to the specified Level of Development (LOD 300–400).
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve design and interface issues.
• Facilitate regular coordination meetings and issue clash reports and coordination logs.
• Support the development of shop drawings, coordinated design deliverables, and as-built models.
• Ensure proper model federation, naming conventions, and version control practices.
• Monitor BIM progress and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Assist in developing and improving BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination.
• Demonstrated proficiency in BIM software, particularly Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and industry standards like ISO 19650.
• Experience in managing Common Data Environments (CDE).
• Ability to review and validate models for accuracy and completeness.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
