BIM Modeler

About the Role

TK Elevator is seeking a BIM Modeler specializing in Vertical Transportation (VT) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves developing, coordinating, maintaining, and updating Building Information Modeling (BIM) models for passenger elevators and escalators across the entire project lifecycle, from design to handover. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for passenger elevators and escalators using Autodesk Revit, ensuring compliance with project BIM standards, BIM Execution Plan (BEP), and Employer Information Requirements (EIR).
• Generate detailed shop drawings directly from BIM models, including sections, elevations, layouts, and interface details, ensuring accuracy and consistency with approved designs.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and workshops, coordinating vertical transportation models with architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Perform clash detection and model coordination using Autodesk Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and BIM 360, identifying and resolving clashes.
• Coordinate and model all lift and escalator interfaces, including shaft dimensions, pit requirements, headroom, machine room layouts, and structural openings.
• Maintain BIM model naming conventions, folder structures, and revision control, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 principles and project standards.
• Extract quantities and technical information from BIM models, populating and maintaining model parameters and asset information.
• Conduct quality checks on BIM models and associated drawings, verifying dimensions, clearances, and consistency with design documents.
• Prepare and submit deliverables such as Revit BIM models, Navisworks coordination files, shop drawings, clash detection reports, and as-built BIM models.
• Support engineering, design, factory, and installation teams with accurate BIM information and coordinated models.

Required Software Proficiency

• Autodesk Revit: For BIM modeling, family management, and drawing production.
• Autodesk Navisworks Manage: For clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• AutoCAD: For 2D drafting and drawing review.
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM Collaborate Pro: For model sharing, coordination, and issue management.
• Microsoft Office: For preparing reports, schedules, and technical documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably with a focus on vertical transportation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to produce shop drawings and perform clash detection.
• Experience coordinating BIM models with various engineering disciplines.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, including ISO 19650 principles.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working collaboratively with design, engineering, factory, installation, and site teams to ensure successful project delivery.
