Building Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Building Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on the execution and supervision of mechanical engineering aspects within building projects, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Review technical drawings and specifications for various mechanical systems, including HVAC, water supply, plumbing/sewage, and fire protection.
• Supervise on-site execution of mechanical works to ensure adherence to approved drawings, quality standards, safety regulations, and the Saudi Building Code.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, material submittals, and equipment submittals, coordinating with other engineering disciplines to resolve any conflicts.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, monitor procurement processes and project progress, and oversee contractor performance.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports detailing project status and findings.
• Review payment applications related to mechanical works.
• Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures for mechanical systems.
• Review as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in the execution and supervision of mechanical works for building projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit MEP is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant international standards, such as ASHRAE and NFPA.
• Valid professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is required.
