MEP Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking an experienced MEP Mechanical Engineer to join its contracting and construction team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for a high-rise hotel project, focusing on managing mechanical works during the peak MEP and finishing phases. The role involves coordinating specialist subcontractors and leading testing and commissioning activities to ensure timely project handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all mechanical works for the assigned project.
• Lead MEP coordination and resolve clashes with structural, architectural, and electrical works.
• Review and approve subcontractors’ shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Plan and monitor mechanical works against the project schedule and report progress.
• Coordinate with the consultant, specialist suppliers, and authorities, including Civil Defense.
• Plan and lead testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Prepare as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and handover documentation.
• Verify subcontractors’ executed quantities for payment purposes.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained throughout installation and commissioning.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in MEP mechanical engineering, preferably within contracting and construction for high-rise projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage mechanical works during peak MEP and finishing phases.
• Experience in coordinating specialist subcontractors and leading testing and commissioning processes.
