About WAFY and the Role
WAFY is developing Saudi Arabia's leading marketplace for entertainment, tourism, and experiences. We are seeking a Business Development Assistant Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to expanding the supply side of our platform by acquiring and activating high-quality experience providers across the Kingdom.
Role Overview
The Business Development Assistant Manager will be responsible for driving growth through strategic partnerships and commercial agreements. This position requires a professional who excels at identifying new opportunities, negotiating deals, and fostering relationships that contribute directly to WAFY's market expansion and platform offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage WAFY's vendor acquisition pipeline throughout Saudi Arabia.
- Identify, approach, and acquire new partners across diverse categories including entertainment, tourism, hospitality, sports, culture, and wellness.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiate partnership agreements, and successfully close deals.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and strategic partners.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM system, including forecasting vendor growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Product, and Vendor Success teams to ensure seamless partner onboarding.
- Represent WAFY at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven experience in sourcing, negotiating, and closing commercial partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of the Saudi market, particularly within the entertainment, tourism, hospitality, or lifestyle sectors.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth through partnership development.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot is considered a plus.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active engagement in market development and partner relations.
