The Role: Business Development Representative (BDR) Fintech

SimCorp is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) Fintech to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to identifying new business opportunities within the Middle-East and Africa (MEA) market. The BDR will report to the Managing Director for Middle-East and Africa and work closely with the sales, pre-sales, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the BDR involve targeting, building intelligence, and engaging with key personas in the region to identify and qualify new business opportunities for the sales team. This includes:

  • Initiating communication effectively via phone, email, and social media to interact with relevant stakeholders and convey SimCorp messages.
  • Screening, qualifying, and nurturing inbound marketing leads in accordance with SimCorp’s sales best practices.
  • Following up on inbound marketing leads and inquiries from campaigns to discover sales opportunities using the BANT criteria (Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline).
  • Assisting with Account Based Marketing for key target accounts to build intelligence, share targeted content, develop relationships, and uncover opportunities.
  • Overseeing the invitation process for SimCorp promotional activities to attract and retain prospective and current client interest.
  • Enriching, updating, and maintaining the CRM system, SalesForce, including researching new contacts and keeping account and contact information current.
  • Logging all interactions in SalesForce and utilizing SalesForce reports to support daily work.
  • Providing product and solution information to prospective and current customers, while staying informed on industry knowledge and the company's competitive posture.
  • Monitoring government and public sector industries for issued tenders.

Candidate Profile and Expectations

The ideal candidate will be a cooperative professional who brings vitality to their work and thrives in a creative business landscape. Success in this role will be measured by prospect pipeline development in support of new business. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and are expected to:

  • Learn and effectively utilize SimCorp selling concepts and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain solid knowledge of SimCorp, its product offerings, and solution features/benefits.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to ensure consistent messaging to prospects, customers, and business partners.
  • Provide feedback on marketing campaigns based on gathered information to contribute to campaign improvement.
  • Support sales with appointment setting.

Location and Compensation

This full-time position is based in Riyadh. Compensation includes attractive salaries, bonus schemes, and a house allowance.
