About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist, Non-Invasive. This full-time role involves working independently to ensure a safe and proper environment for cardiac testing across various hospital settings, including laboratories, wards, operating rooms, the Cardiac Cath Lab, and the Emergency Room. The technologist will be responsible for producing meaningful diagnostic information for physician interpretation, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive cardiac investigations, including ECG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pacemaker and ICD analysis, blood pressure monitoring, and echocardiography procedures such as Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Stress Echocardiography (SE).
• Conduct urgent procedures on critically ill patients in various locations, including wards, operating rooms, Cardiac Cath Labs, ICUs, and the Emergency Room.
• Assist physicians during procedures in the operating room, Cardiac Cath Lab, or other required settings.
• Monitor patients during procedures, identify signs of distress or medical emergencies, take remedial action, and notify nurses or physicians as necessary.
• Generate diagnostic information, obtain measured and calculated data, and prepare preliminary reports for review by reporting physicians.
• Document and log all patient events and procedures accurately.
• Ensure a safe environment and the safe operation of equipment, monitoring equipment for hazards or repair needs and reporting them to the Senior Cardiovascular Technologist or Manager. Calibrate and operate equipment as required.
• Clean and disinfect clinical equipment in accordance with Laboratory and Hospital policies, as well as manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain procedure rooms to ensure they are clean, tidy, and adequately stocked with supplies, linen, and other necessary items.
• Participate in the on-call roster and assist with emergency resuscitation procedures.

Operational Compliance

• Demonstrate understanding of sterile techniques for the Cardiac Cath Lab, operating room, and isolation patients.
• Adhere to infection control policies within the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab.
• Comply with section policies, procedures, and protocols, and follow the section's quality improvement program in line with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA, and other accreditation agency standards.
• Observe radiation safety rules and regulations of the hospital, in accordance with KACST, * CARE, and other national or international regulatory bodies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of experience in cardiovascular technology, specifically in non-invasive procedures. The role requires the ability to recognize and eliminate artifacts to produce accurate diagnostic information, which is critical for physician interpretation.

Work Environment

The Cardiovascular Technologist will work across various clinical environments, including the laboratory, patient wards, operating rooms, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Emergency Room. The role demands adaptability and the ability to perform urgent procedures on critically ill patients in diverse settings. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
