Role Overview

The Chief Specialist, Asset Reliability, enhances Ma'aden’s capacity to maximize asset performance, availability, and lifecycle value. This position provides enterprise leadership for asset reliability, integrating operational priorities, maintenance strategies, asset health insights, and technology capabilities across business units and sites. The role focuses on transitioning reliability decisions from reactive interventions to proactive, predictive, and risk-based approaches. It translates reliability and maintenance challenges into scalable business and technology solutions to improve equipment performance, reduce disruptions, and optimize total cost of ownership. As the enterprise domain authority, this role aligns reliability outcomes, decision logic, and technology priorities across assets, ensuring initiatives address high-value reliability opportunities and can be scaled effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape enterprise asset reliability priorities, KPIs, and value outcomes to strengthen asset performance and lifecycle value across business units.
• Establish consistent reliability and maintenance decision principles that focus investment and intervention on high-value asset risks and opportunities.
• Provide technical authority on asset reliability, influencing strategies, priorities, and solutions across operational and technology stakeholders.
• Translate asset performance, maintenance, and cost challenges into clear improvement opportunities with measurable value hypotheses and success measures.
• Enable proactive, predictive, and risk-based maintenance decisions to improve reliability, maintainability, availability, and total cost of ownership.
• Use asset performance insights to identify recurring reliability constraints and focus improvement initiatives on sustainable performance.
• Shape end-to-end solutions that connect asset health monitoring, diagnostics, maintenance planning, and operational execution.
• Establish closed-loop approaches that use asset performance and maintenance outcomes to continuously improve reliability decisions.
• Ensure reliability solutions are scalable, interoperable, and aligned with operational requirements and enterprise technology direction.
• Align Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders around asset criticality, reliability priorities, and performance outcomes.
• Partner with analytics, AI, monitoring, and digital teams to translate reliability needs into deployable technology solutions.
• Integrate reliability initiatives and technical designs to minimize fragmentation, strengthen reuse, and accelerate enterprise adoption.
• Advance enterprise reliability practices by applying proven methods, technology, and data-driven approaches to priority asset challenges.
• Build reliability capability through technical guidance, knowledge transfer, and the adoption of consistent practices across relevant teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in asset reliability.
