Civil Construction Manager, Group AMANA
Group AMANA is seeking a Civil Construction Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position responsible for managing and overseeing all construction activities on site, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
Role Summary
The Civil Construction Manager's role encompasses a wide range of civil works, including concrete works, finishing and fit-out works, steel structure works, and pre-engineered buildings. This position requires close coordination with MEP disciplines, particularly within industrial and commercial facility projects, to ensure integrated project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all civil construction activities and site operations, including structural works, finishing, fit-out, steel structures, pre-engineered buildings, and related infrastructure.
- Lead, coordinate, and supervise site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and resources to ensure project execution aligns with approved plans, schedules, specifications, and budgets.
- Manage construction planning, sequencing, scheduling, resource allocation, productivity monitoring, and cost control to support successful project delivery.
- Ensure proper coordination between civil, architectural, structural, steel, PEB, and MEP disciplines to prevent interface issues, delays, and rework.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, inspection requests, technical queries, and site instructions with engineering, QA/QC, HSE, planning, and project management teams.
- Monitor construction progress against baseline schedules, identify delays or risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines, especially in fast-track EPC and design-build environments.
- Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, relevant codes, standards, quality requirements, and client expectations.
- Foster productive working relationships with project teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve site-related issues.
- Delegate duties and responsibilities to direct reports and subcontractors, monitoring performance and tracking progress.
- Manage and support site inspections, quality control processes, testing requirements, punch lists, handover activities, and close-out documentation.
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies across all site activities, ensuring compliance with company and project HSE standards.
- Identify construction risks, technical challenges, manpower constraints, material issues, and coordination gaps, escalating or resolving them in a timely manner.
- Prepare, review, and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, construction updates, and other required project documentation.
- Set goals and objectives for the construction team and subordinates, monitoring progress and providing guidance to ensure successful achievement of project deliverables.
- Support project management in budget monitoring, subcontractor performance evaluation, variation identification, and claims-related site documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in civil construction management.
- Proven experience in industrial and commercial facility projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex construction activities, from planning to handover.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management principles, and quality/HSE standards.
- Effective leadership and communication skills for managing site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
