Role Overview

Albawani is seeking a Civil Engineer Design to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on the technical delivery, coordination, and construct-ability of all civil and infrastructure works within Design & Build projects. The scope includes roads, pavements, utilities, drainage, and external works. The Civil Engineer Design will report to the Civil and Structural Design / Technical Manager, ensuring all civil design and construction activities align with contract requirements, authority regulations, programme constraints, and site execution needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve civil and infrastructure design outputs, including drawings, models, specifications, shop drawings, and technical submissions.
• Ensure compliance with Employer’s Requirements, contract documents, codes, standards, and authority regulations (including aviation requirements where applicable).
• Identify and resolve design clashes, construct-ability issues, and interface risks across disciplines.
• Provide day-to-day civil engineering support on site, addressing RFIs, technical queries, and construction challenges.
• Review civil works on site (roads, pavements, drainage, utilities, external works) to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Identify and resolve site issues, deviations, and non-conformances in coordination with project teams.
• Establish and enforce civil and infrastructure design QA/QC requirements, including design reviews, independent checks, and approval protocols.
• Ensure compliance of all infrastructure design outputs with statutory regulations, authority requirements, aviation standards (GACA / ICAO where applicable), and contractual obligations.
• Support planning and monitoring of civil design deliverables in line with project programme requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering design.
• Demonstrated experience in civil and infrastructure works within Design & Build projects.
• Strong understanding of contract requirements, authority regulations, and programme constraints.
• Familiarity with aviation standards (GACA / ICAO) is an advantage.
