The Role of Civil Engineer

FTG Development is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its project teams in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers opportunities in both Riyadh and/or Dammam. The Civil Engineer will work on landmark mixed-use and hospitality developments alongside experienced international engineers, consultants, and contractors, gaining structured on-site exposure and responsibility that grows with progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day supervision of construction works in line with approved drawings, specifications, and project programmes.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals; raise and track technical queries with consultants and contractors.
• Carry out site inspections and prepare inspection requests, site reports, and progress records.
• Support quantity take-offs, progress measurement, and verification of contractor payment applications.
• Track project schedules and report delays, risks, and variations to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, QS, and HSE teams to resolve interface issues.
• Ensure works comply with the Saudi Building Code, municipality requirements, and project HSE standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and as-built information.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant civil engineering role. Applications are welcomed from both early-career engineers and recent graduates who demonstrate strong site potential and a commitment to professional development within the field.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh and/or Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on-site as part of project teams, collaborating with a diverse group of international engineers, consultants, and contractors on significant development projects.
