About the Clinical Sales Specialist Role
BD, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking a Clinical Sales Specialist for Specimen Management (SM) in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on driving sales growth and providing expert clinical support for BD’s medical devices and solutions. The role is integral to building strong customer relationships and ensuring product adoption to improve patient outcomes across Riyadh and the Central region.
Role Context and Purpose
Diagnostic test results significantly influence clinical decisions, making accurate specimen collection and transport critical. BD's Specimen Management business is a global leader in preanalytics, supplying billions of high-quality devices annually to support reliable diagnostic outcomes. This role contributes to enhancing the safe and efficient handling of diagnostic specimens, empowering clinicians with informed decision-making capabilities. The focus is on products like BD Vacutainer® for blood and urine collection, ensuring accuracy throughout the testing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets and drive business growth within the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share and identify new business opportunities.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and clinical training for healthcare professionals.
- Provide ongoing clinical support, including troubleshooting and technical guidance.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), procurement teams, and clinicians.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs, relaying insights to internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, technical support, customer service) to improve the customer experience.
- Represent BD at conferences, workshops, and industry events.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and administrative documentation.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or medical field (*, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy).
- Previous nursing or laboratory experience is highly desirable.
- 3–5 years of experience in medical device sales, with clinical exposure preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Saudi healthcare market and its regulatory environment.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Solid clinical knowledge relevant to BD products and their applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, covering the Central region.
