The Role: Cloud Engineer & Migration Specialist

The Cloud Engineer & Migration Specialist will play a critical role in managing and executing large-scale cloud migration initiatives. This position is central to transitioning and optimizing workloads within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring seamless and efficient operations throughout the migration lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing large-scale migration activities specifically within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Developing and implementing automation strategies for cloud migration processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Managing the rehosting of various workloads to the cloud environment.
• Conducting thorough validation processes to ensure the integrity, performance, and security of migrated systems.
• Overseeing the systematic decommissioning of legacy infrastructure post-migration, ensuring a clean and secure transition.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or a closely related technical field.
• Proven expertise in planning, executing, and automating large-scale cloud migration projects, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload rehosting, validation, and decommissioning phases of cloud migrations.
