About the Cluster Revenue Manager Role

Marriott International is seeking a Cluster Revenue Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to maximizing transient revenue across multiple properties by effectively managing room inventory and implementing strategic pricing. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and involves overseeing inventory management systems and ensuring alignment with agreed-upon selling strategies.

Core Responsibilities

The Cluster Revenue Manager is responsible for maintaining transient room inventory for assigned hotel(s) and driving revenue maximization. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing transient room inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.
• Releasing group rooms back into general inventory and ensuring clean booking windows.
• Recommending pricing and positioning for cluster properties.
• Overseeing the inventory management system to verify the appropriateness of selling strategies.
• Providing revenue management functional expertise to cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
• Ensuring hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives.

Strategic Execution and Stakeholder Engagement

This role involves active participation in strategic planning and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. The manager will:

• Update market knowledge and align strategies and approaches accordingly to achieve and exceed performance goals.
• Establish long-range objectives and specify strategies and actions for achievement.
• Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
• Lead efforts to coordinate strategies between group sales offices and support cluster selling initiatives.
• Utilize reservation and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies.
• Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships proactively.
• Act as a liaison between property and regional/corporate systems support when necessary.

Data Analysis and Performance Reporting

A critical aspect of this position involves comprehensive data analysis and accurate reporting to inform revenue strategies. Responsibilities include:

• Compiling, analyzing, and monitoring actual sales against projected sales.
• Identifying underlying principles and facts by breaking down information or data.
• Using computer systems and software for programming, data entry, and information processing.
• Generating accurate and timely reports and presentations.
• Conducting sales strategy analysis and refining as appropriate to increase market share.
• Analyzing period-end and other systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles.
• Initiating, implementing, and evaluating revenue tests to improve process effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Cluster Revenue Manager position should possess a strong educational background and relevant professional experience:

• A 2-year degree or a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Preferred fields of study include Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in revenue management or a related field is required.
