About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking a dedicated Revenue Manager to join its team in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to maximizing transient revenue for the hotel(s) and maintaining the rooms inventory. The position also involves recommending pricing and positioning strategies for cluster properties.

Core Revenue Management Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales, identifying underlying principles and trends.
• Utilize computer systems for programming, data entry, and information processing to generate accurate and timely reports and presentations.
• Conduct sales strategy analysis and refine approaches as appropriate to increase market share for all properties.
• Analyze period-end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles to achieving goals.
• Drive the execution of predetermined revenue strategies and explore opportunities that drive profit, create value, and encourage innovation.
• Provide revenue management functional expertise to cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
• Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests, providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes.

Inventory and Pricing Strategy

• Maintain the transient rooms inventory, release group rooms back into general inventory, and ensure clean booking windows for customers.
• Recommend pricing and positioning for cluster properties and oversee the inventory management system to verify agreed-upon selling strategies.
• Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
• Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue and assist hotels with pricing and business evaluation recommendations.
• Utilize reservation systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies.
• Check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.

Stakeholder Engagement and Brand Alignment

• Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships in a proactive manner.
• Act as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support.
• Ensure hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives, promoting and protecting brand equity.
• Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners, and owners.
• Inform and update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in revenue management, preferably within the hospitality sector. A strong understanding of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes is essential, along with the ability to understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves attending various meetings, including staff, forecast, and long-range planning sessions as requested by properties, to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and manage activities and solutions.
