About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a full-time Revenue Manager. This role is central to maximizing transient revenue by effectively managing the transient rooms inventory and overseeing group room releases. The Revenue Manager will also be responsible for recommending pricing and positioning strategies for cluster properties and verifying the appropriateness of selling strategies through the inventory management system.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the transient rooms inventory for the hotel(s) to optimize revenue.
• Release group rooms back into general inventory and ensure clean booking windows for customers.
• Recommend pricing and positioning strategies for cluster properties.
• Oversee the inventory management system to verify agreed-upon selling strategies.
• Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.
• Assist hotels with pricing and provide input on business evaluation recommendations.

Revenue Management Analysis and Strategy

• Compile, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales.
• Identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down data into separate parts.
• Conduct sales strategy analysis and refine approaches to increase market share for all properties.
• Maintain accurate reservation system information and generate updates on the transient segment.
• Analyze period-end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles.
• Update market knowledge and align strategies and approaches accordingly.
• Ensure hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives.
• Prepare sales strategy meeting agendas and supporting documentation.
• Use reservation systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies.
• Check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
• Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests, providing recommendations to improve process effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships proactively.
• Act as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support.
• Provide revenue management functional expertise to cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
• Communicate proactively with properties regarding rate restrictions and strategy.
• Lead efforts to coordinate strategies between group sales offices and support cluster selling initiatives.
• Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels/clusters/franchise partners/owners.
• Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in revenue management or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose optimal solutions and solve problems.
• Proficiency in using computers and computer systems, including hardware and software, for data processing and strategy implementation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
• Ability to establish long-range objectives and specify strategies and actions to achieve them.
