About the Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Compliance Culture & Advisory Sr. Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on providing regulatory advice and compliance support to the division, ensuring adherence to SAMA circulars and regulatory requirements.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Compliance Culture & Advisory Sr. Specialist will play a key role in implementing regulatory guidance and fostering a strong compliance culture within the bank. This involves interpreting regulatory requirements, conducting compliance assessments, and developing policies and procedures.

  • Communicate, interpret, and gap analyze SAMA circulars relevant to the division, ensuring effective implementation across the bank.
  • Support the Head of Compliance Culture & Advisory Section in briefing the CCO/CEO/Senior Management on key SAMA circulars.
  • Review change requests to assess alignment with regulations and identify potential compliance risks, including those related to new or amended products, services, and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Provide regulatory compliance inputs into risk assessments for products, services, outsourcing contracts, and change requests, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Offer guidance on obtaining SAMA Non-Objection and support submissions for new product launches, material changes, or third-party outsourcing in coordination with the division.
  • Provide regulatory compliance advice and review inquiries, marketing campaigns, and specific transactions as required by account opening rules for the division, ensuring alignment with laws and regulations.
  • Review new or updated SAMA regulations, assess compliance levels across division processes, and coordinate with the Division to address gaps and implement necessary actions, including policy and procedure updates.
  • Develop approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, directing subordinates in the implementation of controls to ensure procedural and legislative requirements are met while delivering quality service.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or any other relevant field.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a compliance-related role.
  • Desirable: Certification in Compliance, such as CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) or CCO (Certified Compliance Officer).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role operates within the Compliance Culture & Advisory department, contributing to the bank's overall compliance framework.
