About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Consultant - Internal Medicine & Adult Endocrinology to provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients in telemedicine settings. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal diseases, and metabolic syndromes.

Role Overview

The Consultant will deliver expert clinical care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role emphasizes population health management and value-based care, aiming to improve patient outcomes through efficient healthcare delivery and resource optimization. Key responsibilities include ensuring high-quality patient care, engaging in clinical education, and contributing to research initiatives while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and accurate diagnoses of endocrine disorders, utilizing detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tools such as blood tests and imaging studies.
• Perform comprehensive telehealth consultations for internal and general medicine complaints, developing personalized treatment plans and prescribing medications.
• Oversee ongoing care for chronic and acute conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Practice population health management by identifying and addressing community health issues, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health education.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans, collaborating with patients on options and preferences, which may include medication, surgery, or non-invasive therapies.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe clinical care, adhering to established clinical guidelines and best practices.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including audits and peer reviews, and implement safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, engaging in regular case discussions and facilitating referrals.
• Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards, reporting risks to the quality department and practicing safe medicine.
• Maintain satisfactory patient consultations through clear communication, empathy, thorough history taking, and explanation of diagnosis and management plans.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, participating in continuing medical education (CME) activities and staying updated on advancements in endocrinology.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and institutional policies.
