King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre is seeking a dedicated Consultant, Neonatologist to join its medical team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves providing specialized medical care in neonatology, adhering to the hospital's established policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall quality of patient services.

Role Overview

The Consultant, Neonatologist is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions specific to neonatology. This role requires the provision of comprehensive medical care in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, and regulations, ensuring high standards of patient care within the hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Neonatology, aligned with approved clinical privileges.
• Offer consultation services for inpatients and in the emergency room upon request, ensuring timely responses as outlined by hospital policy.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, maintaining availability and response times within the prescribed timeframe according to hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to Neonatology as assigned by the department.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of the required period of training in a specialty and/or subspecialty.
• Possession of Arab or American Board certification, or membership and/or fellowship status in the United Kingdom and/or Canada, or their equivalent.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of training in a specialty or subspecialty, with postgraduate training experience that equals or exceeds seven (7) years’ experience in the subspecialty.

Professional Development and Engagement

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Actively participate in the Department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Partake in national and international medical conferences to stay abreast of advancements in the field.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and fulfill continuing education requirements.
