Role Overview

The Contract Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual aspects of various projects. This role involves the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and managing contract performance throughout the project lifecycle. The specialist will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and legal advisors to mitigate risks and contribute to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including subcontracts, consulting agreements, and procurement contracts.
• Ensure that all contracts are comprehensive, clear, and compliant with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with legal advisors to address and resolve complex contractual issues.
• Manage the administration of contracts from their inception through to completion.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.
• Address and resolve contractual disputes and issues in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities for improving contract management processes and practices.
• Implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance overall contract administration.
• Ensure all contractual activities comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in contract management or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex contractual aspects of projects.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory standards related to contracts.
