About the Role
Parsons is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role is integral to managing contract portfolios for one of the world's significant infrastructure developments, ensuring profitability, compliance, and project timelines are met. The Contracts Manager will work within a multidisciplinary "Delivery Partner" team, navigating complex Design-Build environments and managing high-value contracts that are critical to the Kingdom's future infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer complex contracts (FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke), ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and KSA law.
- Identify contractual and financial risks early in the project lifecycle and develop strategies to protect Parsons' and the Client's interests.
- Assess, negotiate, and resolve significant variations, change orders, and potential disputes.
- Provide direction for all contract management activities to achieve successful outcomes across the portfolio.
- Implement commercial and contract management strategies to meet project objectives, deliver outputs on time, and maximize value.
- Assist in evaluating Change Requests, including developing and managing change management documentation through to finalizing Engineer's Instructions (EIs) and Variation Orders (VOs).
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, managing claims, variations, and disputes.
- Advise on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure activities align with project requirements and organizational policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential financial and contractual challenges.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
- Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Law.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in commercial and/or contracts management across multiple construction sectors.
- Extensive knowledge of cost and commercial management principles, procurement processes, and contract management principles.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale contracts and delivering within budget and schedule.
- Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
