Job Description

About the Role

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Controller for the SAGEA (Saudi Arabia, Gulf, East Africa) region. This full-time position is based in Al Tareef Al Jadeed, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and reports directly to the SAGEA Head of F&A. The Controller will provide essential support across planning, reporting, business partnering, and controlling functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate planning guidelines, timelines, targets, and relevant data to stakeholders.
  • Provide financial impact analysis of assumption sets to the business.
  • Support review meetings by generating overviews, analysis, and business support.
  • Ensure timely submission of data in appropriate systems.
  • Implement, align, and execute guidance provided by the regional controlling team.
  • Provide operational business support with pricing, discount, and profitability analysis.
  • Make recommendations for cost optimization and partnerships.
  • Collect, interpret, and provide data for decision-making processes.
  • Connect relevant functions in OPU and ROPU for improved communication and process efficiency.
  • Process accurate and relevant accruals and provisions in financial ledgers.
  • Coordinate data collection from relevant resources.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Perform month-end routines, checks, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Provide periodical financial information and comments for OPU management.
  • Work on continuous improvement topics to ensure compliance and adherence to financial regulations.
  • Support the ROPU controlling team on an ad hoc basis.
  • Oversee compliance and adherence to corporate SOPs, local regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in a controlling or finance role. The position requires a professional who can effectively manage financial planning, reporting, and business partnering activities within a regional context.
