Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is actively seeking a dedicated Cost Control Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to one of the Kingdom's prominent giga-projects, playing a crucial role in financial oversight and project performance.

Role Summary

The Cost Control Engineer will be responsible for comprehensive cost management across various project phases, ensuring financial discipline and accurate reporting. This role requires a Saudi national with a strong background in cost engineering, particularly within large-scale construction or trading environments, to support the strategic financial objectives of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor project costs, commitments, and expenditures meticulously.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly cost reports, comparing actual costs against established budgets and project progress.
  • Track and analyze both direct and indirect costs across multiple ongoing projects.
  • Develop and regularly update Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) forecasts.
  • Analyze cost variances, identify root causes, and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Manage and control change orders, invoices, subcontractor cost records, and financial commitments.
  • Provide support to project teams to enhance cost efficiency and overall commercial performance.
  • Coordinate closely with Site, Procurement, Planning, and Finance teams to ensure integrated cost control.
  • Develop and maintain cost dashboards and reports utilizing ERP systems, Excel, and Power BI.

Candidate Profile

  • Must be a Saudi national.
  • Possess 6 to 8 years of experience in a Cost Control or Cost Engineering role, preferably within large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor, report, and control project costs effectively.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify cost variances and propose solutions.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for effective teamwork across departments.
