Credit Review Manager

About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Credit Review Manager to lead the credit review function in Riyadh. This full-time role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, monitoring credit exposures, identifying key risks, and ensuring compliance with the Company’s credit policies and risk appetite. The manager will provide timely credit insights and recommendations to support effective risk management and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the credit review process for customer accounts in accordance with approved credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer creditworthiness, financial position, payment performance, and overall credit exposure.
• Assess the adequacy of credit facilities, limits, terms, and conditions, and recommend appropriate actions based on identified risks.
• Identify credit weaknesses, exceptions, and emerging risks, ensuring timely escalation to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure credit reviews are conducted consistently, objectively, and within established timelines and standards.
• Monitor compliance with approved credit policies, procedures, delegated authorities, and credit approval requirements.
• Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures for customers with elevated credit risk or deteriorating financial performance.
• Provide oversight of credit risk exposures and highlight material risks and trends to senior management.
• Support the continuous enhancement of credit review methodologies, controls, and processes.

Leadership and Management

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to build a robust second line of management.
• Address low performance by guiding improvement or making necessary personnel decisions.
• Ensure fair treatment of subordinates without discrimination, basing assessments on performance and results.
• Maintain a delegation of authority matrix in line with company policy.
• Take full responsibility for operations, anticipating problems and taking proactive steps.
• Make timely and appropriate decisions.

Business Planning and Development

• Translate corporate goals into actionable business plans.
• Plan, follow up, and execute annual and development plans.

• Monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
• Develop the organizational structure based on current and future requirements.
• Ensure job descriptions are available for all roles.
• Develop and coordinate written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Utilize and promote IT solutions relevant to the job and business.

Qualifications and Experience
