About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Credit Review Manager to lead the credit review function in Riyadh. This full-time role involves assessing customer creditworthiness, monitoring credit exposures, identifying key risks, and ensuring compliance with the company’s credit policies and risk appetite. The manager will provide timely credit insights and recommendations to support effective risk management and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the credit review process for customer accounts in accordance with approved credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of customer creditworthiness, financial position, payment performance, and overall credit exposure.
  • Assess the adequacy of credit facilities, limits, terms, and conditions, recommending appropriate actions based on identified risks.
  • Identify credit weaknesses, exceptions, and emerging risks, ensuring timely escalation to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure credit review activities align with the company’s credit governance framework, risk appetite, and financial policies.
  • Monitor compliance with approved credit policies, procedures, delegated authorities, and credit approval requirements.
  • Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures for customers with elevated credit risk or deteriorating financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit information to support effective credit review, monitoring, and decision-making.
  • Prepare periodic credit review and risk reports for management, highlighting key exposures, trends, exceptions, and areas requiring attention.
  • Coordinate with business, finance, collections, and risk stakeholders to obtain information for effective credit reviews.
  • Communicate credit review findings, risk observations, and recommendations clearly to relevant stakeholders and management.

Leadership and Management Accountability

  • Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to create a robust second line of management.
  • Guide low performers to improve or manage their release, ensuring fair treatment and performance-based assessment.
  • Take full responsibility for operations as per the job description and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Anticipate problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them, making timely and proper decisions.
  • Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards.
  • Transform corporate goals into business plans, monitoring performance and initiating corrective actions.
  • Develop the organizational structure according to current and future requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and oversee credit review processes.
  • Proficiency in assessing customer creditworthiness and financial positions.
  • Strong understanding of credit governance frameworks, risk appetite, and financial policies.
  • Experience in managing credit data and preparing comprehensive reports.
