Cyber Security Engineer (Saudi National)

About the Role

VaporVM is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves managing, operating, and maintaining enterprise cybersecurity systems to protect IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and sensitive data from security threats and vulnerabilities. The position is open to Saudi Nationals and requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, operate, and maintain cybersecurity solutions, including Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity and Access Management (IAM), firewalls/Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Monitor security systems, analyze alerts, and investigate potential security incidents.
• Identify security vulnerabilities, assess risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Configure, administer, and optimize security tools to ensure effective protection of enterprise infrastructure.
• Support incident response, threat detection, and security event investigations.
• Enforce access control policies, privileged account security, and identity management procedures.
• Maintain security configurations, operational documentation, and compliance with organizational security policies.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing and operating cybersecurity systems.
• Practical experience with PAM, Firewalls/NGFW, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and IAM solutions.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, and/or vendor-specific cybersecurity certifications.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, security monitoring, access management, and threat mitigation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and respond effectively to security incidents.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a dedicated cybersecurity team to maintain and enhance the organization's security posture.
