About the Cybersecurity Engineer Role

Astek Middle East is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, onsite position is open to Saudi Nationals and involves contributing to a significant digital transformation program.

Contribution to Digital Transformation

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing critical enterprise and government platforms within a large-scale digital transformation initiative. This involves implementing robust security best practices, actively monitoring for threats, responding to incidents, and ensuring strict compliance with organizational security standards across enterprise infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and business systems.

Core Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls across enterprise infrastructure.
  • Monitor security events and investigate alerts using security monitoring tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation activities.
  • Participate in incident response, threat analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Implement endpoint, network, and cloud security best practices.
  • Perform security risk assessments and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Support compliance with cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and network teams to enhance security posture.
  • Assist with security audits, penetration testing activities, and security documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports and maintain security documentation in both Arabic and English as required.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Must be a Saudi National.
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience.
  • Demonstrated experience securing enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms and security monitoring.
  • Proven experience responding to security incidents and conducting investigations.

Technical Expertise and Competencies

  • Solid knowledge of network security, endpoint security, identity and access management, and vulnerability management.
  • Good understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls.
  • Familiarity with cloud security concepts (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Language and Work Location

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Riyadh.
